A passerine bird contained in Asia is the red-whiskered bulbul (Pycnonotus jocosus). He's a family friend of the Bulbul family. It is a resident frugivore that is primarily found in tropical Asia.

In several tropical areas of the world where populations have established themselves, it has been introduced. Fruits and tiny insects feed on it. Red-whiskered bulbuls perch on trees conspicuously and have a loud call of three to four notes. Within their range, they are very popular in hill forests and urban gardens.

The attributes include dark brown iris, black mouth and foot, black, towering crown feathers on an adult bird's head, bird friends called a witch hat, red ear spots under the eyes, white ears, black cheek lines, brown back, white throat, stained white chest and belly, and red feathers under the tail.
There are no red ear patches on the young birds and the hidden feathers are pink.
