Zitting Cisticola

Cisticola juncidis (zitting cisticola) is a broadly distributed Old World warbler whose breeding range covers southern Europe, Africa (outside the deserts and rainforest), and southern Asia down to northern Australia. 

Zitting Cisticola often present in small groups, are very tiny insectivorous birds. The breeding season is related to rainfall. In certain countries , two broods a year exist.

This species is located mostly in ecosystems of grassland, sometimes near water. Most populations are populated, but in winter, some East Asian populations move south to colder areas. During season, they climb to around 1,900 m (6,200 ft) in the Himalayas, but in the winter they are below 1,300 m (4,300 ft).

In northern Europe, this species is an uncommon vagrant, often as a spring overshoot. In general, its European range is expanding, while northern populations are particularly vulnerable to tough winters.
