Stonechat Bird (Saxicola Rubicola)

Stonechats are about the size of robins. Males have a distinctive black head with a white collar, orange-red breasts, and a mottled brown back. Females lack the black head of the males, but have brown backs and orange-tinged chests. Birds regularly flutter their wings while perched, typically on the tops of low shrubs.

As the name implies, birds make a loud, piercing cry that sounds like two stones tapped together. They breed in the west and south of the United Kingdom, but spread more extensively during the winter.
